Asmongold Unleashes Fury on Concord Devs: “Still as Out of Touch as Ever!”

The gaming world is on fire after Asmongold unleashed a scathing critique of the Concord developers. He's calling them out for their lack of accountability and their delusional excuses.

LOS ANGELES, CA – In a blistering new commentary that has sent shockwaves through the gaming community, popular streamer Asmongold has unleashed his fury on the developers of the spectacularly failed game “Concord.” Accusing them of being “still as out of touch as ever,” Asmongold dissects the developers’ post-mortem analysis, highlighting their perceived blame-shifting onto gamers and publishers rather than taking any meaningful accountability for the game’s disastrous launch.

“How is this still going on? How are there still people that are doing post-mortems for Concord?” Asmongold exclaimed, his frustration palpable. “I mean, at a certain point, don’t you have to stop? When is it time for you to stop?”

Concord, widely regarded as one of the biggest failures in recent gaming history, has been the subject of numerous critiques. Yet, according to Asmongold, the developers’ recent statements, made on a podcast, reveal a shocking lack of self-awareness. “A lot of them are trying to blame gamers and saying things like, ‘People just didn’t give us a chance,’” he reported, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

One particular quote from a developer stood out: “The audience our publisher was catering to did not want this game at all from the get-go. The game was labeled Zong cool.” Asmongold’s immediate retort: “And then they lament how fair I that that’s you’re right. Absolutely. People just didn’t give the game a chance. Exactly. Saying stuff like, ‘Yeah, but you haven’t even looked into it. You haven’t even played it.’ Exactly. You don’t need to. Yeah. It looked like [expletive]. Why would somebody want to play a game that looks like [expletive]?”

He further criticized the developers for attempting to shift blame onto the publisher, who they claimed “forced us to make a game catering to this group of people.” Asmongold vehemently rejected this, stating, “I just don’t buy that.” While acknowledging a publisher’s role, he emphasized that the core issues lay with the game itself.

Asmongold also took aim at the developers’ “delusional” belief that they could convince any individual who criticized the game to love it if only they had a chance to plead their case. He sarcastically highlighted the game’s perceived “wokeness,” pointing to a robot character that was “scientifically binary” yet identified as “they/them,” a detail he used to underscore what he views as the developers’ misguided priorities.

“It’s just weird that there is this audience who’s just constantly wanting to be excited that something fails,” Asmongold observed, before offering his own explanation: “That’s correct because people like me see games like Concord and we look at it as glorified leftist weird gender ideology propaganda. And I don’t even want to I don’t even want to slander leftists with this. These are mentally ill, gender confused weirdos that are trying to insert this into every single video game.”

This explosive commentary from Asmongold has ignited a firestorm of debate within the gaming community, touching upon sensitive topics of game development, public reception, accountability, and the ever-present “culture wars” in media. His brutal honesty, while controversial to some, resonates deeply with a segment of the gaming audience who feel unheard and frustrated by what they perceive as ideological agendas overshadowing genuine gameplay.

What do you think of Asmongold’s scathing critique of the Concord developers? Do you believe they are truly out of touch, or is there more to the story? Share your thoughts in the comments below, and let’s keep the conversation going!
